Visa Information

Visa requirements for Brazil are based on the principle of reciprocity—if Brazilian nationals are required to obtain a visa to visit your country, then you are likely required to obtain a visa for travel to Brazil. All conference attendees are advised to consult their local Brazilian Embassy or Consulate for country-specific entry requirements that may apply to them.

See: http://www.itamaraty.gov.br/en/brazilian-missions-abroad

In the event that you are required to obtain a visa, we highly encourage you to begin the application process at least three months prior to the conference—with the caveat that entry into Brazil may be required within a specified period upon receipt of your visa . Review all applicable guidelines carefully, and plan your application process accordingly.

Attendees are responsible for verifying and obtaining all required travel documents for Brazil. However, the GEOSCIED / ENSINOGEO Secretariat is glad to assist with any questions you may have. Contact us at inscricoes@mci-group.com .

Visa invitation letter

Official letters of invitation to support the visa application process, and serve as documentation for any other travel requirements that attendees may have, will be supplied through the Executive Secretariat (inscricoes@mci-group.com ).

*** Note that although invitation letters will be personalized, they do not commit the Organizing Committee or any of the parties associated with the conference to any kind of financial support or hosting arrangement, nor do they guarantee that an entry visa will be granted.

Please be advised that invitation letters will only be issued by GEOSCIED / ENSINOGEO after the participant successfully registers for the conference. Therefore, you should fill out the registration form as early as possible in order to get your visa in time for the event.
