GRADUATE PROGRAM IN GEOGRAPHY

Master’s (12 to 30 months) and Doctorate (24 to 54 months)

The graduate program in geography leads to the award of a master’s degree in geography or a doctoral degree in Geography with a major in environmental analysis and territorial dynamics.

Major Area: Environmental Analysis and Territorial Dynamics
Topics of Research

• 1. Territorial dynamics: current technical systems and new sociospatial practices

• 2. Geographic information systems, analysis of the natural components of the landscape and transformations arising from its use and occupation

MASTER’S DEGREE IN GEOGRAPHY (79M)

Completion of the Program

The minimum and maximum time limits for completing the Master`s Degree program are 12 and 30 months, respectively.
To obtain the Master’s Degree in Geography, students must fulfill a total of 16 credits in courses and be approved in the defense of dissertation.

Ph.D. IN GEOGRAPHY (24D)

Completion of the Program

The minimum and maximum time limits for completing the Doctorate Course are 24 and 54 months, respectively.

To obtain the Ph.D. in Geography, students must fulfill a total of 12 credits in courses and be approved in the defense of thesis.
