Full Professor in the Department of Geography at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP in the area of Geographic Cartography. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the São Paulo State University - UNESP - Rio Claro Campus (1990), a Master's degree in Human Geography (1996) and a PhD in Human Geography (2001), both from the University of São Paulo - FFLCH/USP, and a postdoctoral degree in Geographic Information Systems from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship (2017-2018) at the School of Geography and Planning at Cardiff University (Wales, UK) and an Academic Fellowship (2022) at the Department of Geography of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the Autonomous University of Madrid (Madrid, Spain). He has held the positions of Associate Director of the Institute of Geosciences (IG), Research Coordinator of the Institute of Geosciences (IG), Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Geography, and Head of the Department of Geography at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP. He has professional (EMPLASA, ISA, IBAMA) and academic (UnB, UEPG) experience in the area of Geography, with an emphasis on Urban and Regional Planning and Application of Geotechnologies. He coordinates the research group of Geotechnologies Applied to Territorial Management (GeoGet) and the Laboratory of Urban Geography (GeoUrbana).
