Elizabeth Balbachevsky

Professor at the Department of Political Science at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. Director of the Public Policy Research Center at the Institute for Advanced Studies at the same University (NUPPs / IEA-USP). Between 2016 and 2017, she was General Coordinator for policies to support the Internationalization of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education. Since 2009, collaborates with the Higher Education Group at the University of Tampere, Finland, developing research and teaching classes in the European Master of Research and Innovation in Higher Education on recent developments in higher education in Latin America. She is editor for Latin America of Springer’s Encyclopedia of International Higher Education Systems and Institutions (2020) and co-edited the book “Building higher education cooperation with the EU: challenges and opportunities from four continents” (Brill-Sense, 2020) .
