KAREN ESTEVES FERNANDES PINTO

Postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Science and Technology Policy at the Institute of Geosciences, Unicamp. Currently conducting research in the field of (1) Research on Research and Innovation, focusing on the economic and socio-environmental impacts of academic research, especially considering research funded by public agencies, and (2) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystems, where the focus is on the activities of the Innovation Agency of Unicamp (INOVA) to map business activities linked to the university. Graduated in Modern Languages from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). Master’s degree in Administration from the Faculty of Economics, Administration, and Accounting at the University of São Paulo (USP), and a Ph.D. in Administration from the same faculty. She has international experience as a scholarship holder from the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, a scholarship holder from Hochschule Fulda at Fulda University in Germany, a Fapesp scholarship holder as a student at Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien in Austria, and a Capes scholarship holder at Linköping University in Sweden as part of her sandwich Ph.D. program.
