CRITERIA FOR IGEO SUPPORT TO THE NEXT
VIII GEOSCIED INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
The international Geoscience Education Organization (IGEO) promotes the quadrennial international conference called GeoSciEd. Next conference (VIII GeoSciEd) will be hosted at the University of Campinas, Brazil, 22-27 of July 2018. In order to support the participation of delegates from developing countries other than the host country (Brazil), IGEO opens this call for supporting two delegates.
The support will be up 1,000 USD per person, to be provided in cash at the conference.
Basic requirement to be a candidate:
- be resident of developing countries which are considered low-income economies, lower-middle-income economies , upper-middle-income economies, as indicate by the World Bank list https://datahelpdesk.worldbank.org/knowledgebase/articles/906519-world-bank-country-and-lending-groups (excluding Brazil)
Criteria for ranking the candidates:
1) To be author of at least one abstract or workshop submitted to the VIII GeoSciEd
2) Candidate who fills the UNESCO/IGEO Experts Survey on Geoscience Education
3) Longest distance from Campinas
